Piptanthus tomentosus

A very rare close relative of P. nepalensis differing in the silky, silvery hairy leaves. A fairly fast growing evergreen shrub to about 3m high with clusters of large bright yellow pea flowers in May. Any ordinary soil in sun with a bit of shelter from cold winter winds.
