Platanus orientalis ‘Frampton Fingers’

A clone of the Oriental Plane I named here at Pan Global' with very deeply and simply lobed leaves, the lobes looking like long fingers on an outstretched hand, forming a unique foliage effect. Distributed for many years as var. insularis, that name is illegitimate in my opinion and covers a variety of deeply lobed forms. The old var. liquidambarifolia is a better fit, though again illegitimate. Very tough, very different, and highly suited to a climate change future. A large deciduous tree for most soils and sites; it also responds superbly to pollarding.

Pot size: 2L
