Platanus orientalis ‘Pan’s Hands’

A clone of the Oriental Plane I named here at Pan Global' with very deeply and simply lobed leaves, the long clean lobes looking like fingers on an outstretched hand, forming a unique foliage effect, especially on vigorously growing specimens. Often called var. insularis, that name is illegitimate in my opinion and purely covers a variety of deeply and variably lobed forms from Cyprus and Crete. Very tough, very different, and highly suited to a climate change future. A large deciduous tree for most soils and sites; it also responds superbly to pollarding.
