Populus glauca

This very rare tree was collected originally in the Arunachal Pradesh Himalaya. Striking in leaf with rather large, blue-green leaves with red veins on flattened red petioles, pale under, emerging alarmingly and uniquely very late, in early to mid-summer. Hardy and not overly vigorous, this will make a medium sized tree eventually for most soils, best where there is some moisture, though actually really rather tolerant.
