A Far Eastern evergreen oak species in the Cyclobalanopsis Subsection, with glossy, leathery, elliptic foliage with a drawn out slender tip, emerging orangey-brown in late spring/early summer. A slow growing large bushy shrub or small tree eventually if happy, for neutral to acid soil, preferably.
