Quercus acutissima

Vigorous and handsome with shiny chestnut-like foliage, the Sawtooth oak from the Far East makes a fine tree in the UK, though like so many good things is rarely planted. The narrowly oblong, bright green polished leaves are lined with bristle-tipped teeth and persist into winter. A medium sized tree in the UK for any reasonable soil in sun or semi-shade.
