Quercus ‘Bear Creek Ranch’
Discovered wild in Texas and thought to be Q. marilandica var. ashei x Q. buckleyi, both highly desirable species in their own right, this was a small bushy tree with glossy dark-green deeply lobed foliage, turning to a rich maroon in autumn. Highly tolerant of heat and drought in nature this is suited to neutral to acid soils in the UK. Hardy.
