Quercus crassifolia

A most striking Mexican oak. Big, very dark green, shallowly lobed, very leathery evergreen leaves with a pale yellow-beige hairy underside. Makes a hardy medium sized tree in the UK. Grows very well at Kew and a few other gardens.
