Particularly rare in cultivation, though perfectly growable, this evergreen oak from SW China makes a large tree to 25m tall in the wild with a full rounded crown, though only reaching about 10m in cultivation here in the UK. Distinctive long, unlobed, taper pointed leaves with bright-green undersides, deep-green above with yellow midrib and petiole and up to 16cm long. This has grown perfectly here for me in cold rural Gloucestershire for well over a decade.
