Quercus faginea

An oak from Spain and Portugal, this will make a perfectly hardy small to medium semi-evergreen tree here, of full, rounded form, with deeply fissured bark, the leaves with shallow, forward pointing lobes. Only ever really seen in specialist collections in the UK and rarely available, but an excellent choice for a climate change future and loving life planted out here in rural Gloucestershire. Easy on most soil types.
