Quercus libani ‘Angustifolia’

A slim leaved form of this hardy, heat and drought tolerant species from Eastern Turkey, Syria, Iraq and Iran, bearing slim willow-like foliage, but with prominent forward facing teeth. A good candidate for a warming, drying UK climate, this makes an upright tree with a full crown in the UK and this cultivar has reached 15m high here, which is about the maximum for the species in the wild. Any ordinary soil.
