Quercus mongolica

The Mongolian oak makes a rather striking small to medium sized hardy deciduous tree in the UK with large leaves and thick branches. The well-lobed foliage is borne in dense clusters at the end of the branches. Autumn colour can be a rich yellow, orange or red. For any reasonable soil apart from thin chalk.
