Quercus ‘Notendale’

A new hybrid between the Mexican evergreen Q. rysophylla and Q. rubra from Eastern USA, with leaves that lean more toward the latter in size, though with very shallow lobes in comparison, a thicker texture and with splendid orange-red new growth. We can perhaps expect a semi-deciduous nature. Growth is vigorous and healthy and the tree will no doubt end up as a large specimen. For lime free soil. Hardy.
