Quercus suber

Cork Oak. A short stemmed, eventually spreading, medium sized evergreen tree with amazing pale beige, very, very thick, rugged, fire proof cork bark: even young plants start to show this feature. Perfectly hardy throughout most of the UK; one of the finest specimens in the British Isles has been growing near here for the last 150 or so years and survived -20c. Very drought tolerant.

Pot size: 3L
