Quercus x comptoniae

Extremely rare in the UK, this is the hybrid of Quercus lyrata and Q. virginiana, both natives of SE USA. With warm summers it is an extremely hardy tree, in fact far more so than is needed in the UK, but would no doubt grow better here in the southern counties with warmer summers. Leaves are usually narrow, drawn out, with lobes in the upper portion and crown form is most usually upright.

Pot size: 3L
