Rhodohypoxis baurii ‘Douglas’

A good deep purplish-red clone. A South African alpine plant in nature enjoying a moist summer in well drained gritty, peaty soil and full sun. Grassy leaves and flowers in June/July. Ideal in a trough, pot or well drained rock garden, with a slate or similar over the dormant plant in winter to keep off excess moisture. If potted bring under a rain cover for winter. Hardy.
