Rohdea nepalensis

A hardy evergreen woodlander from the Himalaya and into surrounding mountain ranges, such as the Arakan range in Manipur, where this collection was found. Evergreen strap-like foliage arch out from the branched, low rhizome. Short spikes of densely set soft-orange flowers in spring are followed by rounded orange fruit which persist a fair while. Shade and humus soil. 30cm.
