Found at the roadside at 1800m in north central Guizhou, China in 2011, this made a rambling rose with clusters of small red hips. Highly floriferous in cultivation here, robust yet graceful, it is considered one of the most beautiful of wild roses. Covered in a mass of fragrant smallish white-pink flowers in June, this is suited to growing free standing, where it will make a large shrub, or as a climber against a wall/fence, or even sent up into a tree where it will reach 6m if allowed. Hardy and easy in sun or semi-shade.
