A selected form from the guys at Issima of this shade loving perennial from Honshu, Japan, bearing terminal heads of bicoloured light-mauve and purple flowers in October in the UK. A relatively low growing mound forming herbaceous species to 60cm tall but considerably wider, enjoying a reasonably well drained position in semi-shade with relatively even moisture at the root.
