Salvia stolonifera

A relatively recent introduction from Oaxaca, Mexico, this pretty species has so far proven hardy, making a spreading plant (as the name would suggest) for semi-shade, coming as it does from cloud forest. Masses of long, slim, terracotta-orange flowers seen over a very long period in summer on a plant to 60cm tall.
