Sanguisorba applanata
An excellent foliage plant with sumptuous masses of ground covering, bold, pale blue-grey pinnate leaves to 50cm tall, rather in the style of Melianthus major. Occasional heads of white flowers in summer are completely irrelevant. Hardy and easy; spreading to form a splendid patch in sun or semi shade and in my experience drought tolerant.
