Sanguisorba officinalis ‘Tsetseguun’

Collected originally on the slopes of Tsetseguun, Ulan Bator, Mongolia at 2200m, it is significantly earlier in flower than other forms of S. officinalis. Deep maroon 'bobble' flowerheads in May and June over attractive serrated pinnate foliage, on a plant to 1.5m tall. Very hardy. For sun or semi-shade and not too bone dry.
