Saxifraga cotyledon

From the mountains of Europe, the Pyramidal Saxifrage is one of the two National flowers of Norway; that kind of info could quite possibly get you out of a pickle one day. A small evergreen alpine, forming rosettes of succulent leaves to 20cm across, but usually smaller, from which rise relatively tall branched inflorescences of many small white flowers, 40-60cm high in May/June. Makes a good clump, for well drained sunny sites. Very hardy.
