Schefflera chapana (true!) ex Yunnan

Nothing like the completely incorrectly identified plants from N Vietnam that are in commerce under this name. This evergreen large shrub/small tree bears very beautiful, slim, shallowly lobed leaflets when juvenile, turning to still slim, but unlobed when mature. Expect considerable hardiness, as this was found originally on Cangshan, near Dali, at apparently 3000m altitude, this is almost definitely the first offering ever of this species in the UK.
