Schisandra aff. rubriflora BO-16-142

A collection from the Erlangshan, Sichuan at 2150m, this is thought to be S. rubriflora though these are seed raised and yet to flower. A twining deciduous climber with pendulous crimson flowers in late spring, followed on female plants by long dangling strings of bright red berries. Totally hardy, this is suitable for wall, fence, tree etc. Plant more than one for likelihood of fruit set.
