Seseli rigidum

New to the UK, from rocky, well drained sites from the North Balkan Peninsula to Romania, this is a hardy perennial umbellifer forming basal rosettes of highly attractive, finely divided glaucous foliage composed of very narrow segments. Branched inflorescences in summer to 1m high, though lower if treated mean on very poor well drained soils, composed of dense 'buttons' of pure-white flowers in domed umbels. Very drought tolerant and best suited to a well drained soil in sun.
