Solanum linearifolium

The 'Mountain Kangaroo Apple' from SE Australia, where it apparently inhabits shady woodlands. An evergreen shrub with very narrow foliage, bearing flat, round, deep purple flowers for a very long period from May onwards. These are complimented by the golden-orange fruits, once eaten by Aborigines. Surprisingly hardy so far. Sun/shelter. 2m.
