Sophora godleyi

A recently named species, once included in S. microphylla, this New Zealand native rarity is similar in many ways, being a small tree with ferny pinnate foliage. However, this is naturally semi-weeping in form with very long slim grey-green leaves with golden-brown hair around the tiny leaflets. Typically atypical large golden-yellow pea flowers smother the branches in spring.
