Thomsonaria kohimensis (syn. Sorbus paniculata) NJM 13.092

From Manipur, NE India; the first introduction to Western cultivation of this whitebeam, as far as is known. Previously named Sorbus paniculata here. This forms a small tree with white flowers in spring, followed by brown fruits. The foliage is white hairy above, with solid white undersides. Hardiness untested as yet, but possibly not for the coldest areas.
