Sorbus splendens CH 7122

A magnificent newly described species from China, closely related to both S. sargentiana and S. wilsonii, though more attractive than either. Superb large shining pinnate foliage, up to 30cm by 20cm, turns to vivid red and orange in autumn and the very large heads of white flowers, 20cm across, turn to huge bunches of bright red fruit. A slow growing small tree.
