Sorbus wilsoniana PW 47

Very closely related to S. sargentiana and much more widespread in the wild, though very rare in cultivation, this species is slightly smaller in all its parts, looking like a daintier version of the former species, but still bold and striking for a rowan and equally as effective. Handsome sticky red buds and fine clusters of bright red fruit in autumn as the leaves turn to fiery orange and red. Makes a small hardy tree.
