Sorbus zahlbruckneri

Sometimes confused with S. alnifolia, this Chinese species has slimmer leaves and forms a rounded crown of attractive narrow foliage that takes on good autumn tints as the small fruit ripen to red. Leaves are thinly hairy beneath. This, the true species, is rare in cultivation, looks more like S. folgneri and is very hardy and easy to grow.
