Styrax wilsonii

A particularly unusual species from Baoxing Shan, Sichuan, China, where it forms well branched shrubs 1 to 2m high. Relatively small leaves are lobed at the apex and densely pale-grey tomentose beneath. Small pure-white scented flowers like pixie's hats with recurved petals in apical clusters in early summer. For lime free soil.
