Styrax wilsonii

A particularly unusual species, very rarely offered, from Baoxing Shan, Sichuan, China, where it forms well branched shrubs 1 to 2m high. Relatively small leaves are lobed at the apex and densely pale-grey tomentose beneath. Small pure-white scented flowers like pixie's hats with recurved petals, from yellow hairy calyces, borne in apical clusters in early summer. For lime free soil in sun or semi-shade.
