Succisa pratensis ‘Peddar’s Pink’

Devil's bit scabious. A UK native of damp grassland with domed light pink scabious flowers in this form, seen in late summer/autumn. It is tolerant of drier sites however and can be used in any reasonable soil in sun or semi-shade. Height 40cm. The food plant of the Marsh Fritillary butterfly and the Narrow-bordered Bee Hawk-moth. Also good for bees, hoverflies and other butterflies.
