Particularly attractive to bees, butterflies and a host of other beneficial insects, this unusually coloured hybrid comfrey bears its succession of deep violet-purple flowers from late spring into summer and then again late season if cut back after the initial flowering. A tough robust plant 60 to 90cm tall, though less vigorous and better behaved than common comfrey. Well suited to naturalistic plantings, it associates well with ornamental grasses and perennials. For sun or part shade.
