Tetrapanax papyrifer ‘Rex’
This form of this mega-exotic looking gem has immensely impressive foliage, spectacularly massive with great claw like lobes. Grow it in a sheltered site where it should reach 4m. It will be fairly hardy there but will shoot strongly from the roots if cut back by cold, or secateurs. It will also sucker up from the roots a fair bit when established but these are easily removed. Fabulous.
