Tilia dasystyla subsp. caucasica ‘Caspian Cherry’

A recent selection, named here, with bright red winter twigs. A rare lime from the Caucasus and N. Iran with conspicuously bristle-toothed somewhat rounded foliage and very prominent long, pale bracts attached to the inflorescence of scented cream flowers. Makes a strong growing, healthy, medium sized tree in the UK. Originally collected in N. Iran.
