Found originally at Westonbirt arboretum, this is a slow growing semi-dwarf Tilia with very small foliage. Considered a seedling of T. cordata, though also perhaps a hybrid of a small leaved form of T. japonica, its rounded leaves have attractive drip-tips. A mass of fragrant white flowers are borne in late summer. Highly suited to smaller gardens, making an upright elegant tree to just 6m.
