Tinantia pringlei

A bizarre Tradescantia relative from high altitude in Mexico with amazing purple/brown marked leaves. Violet flowers over an exceptionally long season in summer and autumn. Completely deciduous, this spreads to form a wide mat in one season from a perennial base. Gently creeping. Sun, well drained soil. Proven very hardy over many many years here, even through Jan 2010 at -14c!
