Ulmus ‘Columella’
Extremely resistant to Dutch Elm Disease, rated 5 out of 5 for resistance and now planted widely, especially in Amsterdam. A fastigiate tree, it makes a tight columnar crown that broadens slightly to flame-shaped with age. Relatively small foliage is naturally twisted in a very distinctive fashion. Height approx 20m.
