Veratrum formosanum

From the mountains of Taiwan at high altitude, this is a hardy and easy to grow species that flowers relatively young. Linear-lanceolate pleated foliage and stems up to 50cm tall of dark red-purple flowers in summer. For sun or semi-shade, never too dry.
