Viburnum japonicum from Kyushu

A collection of this handsome evergreen species from Southern Kyushu, Japan, with relatively large, leathery, very glossy dark-green leaves and rounded heads of fragrant white flowers in June, followed by conspicuous, bright red fruits that last into the winter. Reaches about 2m eventually, and is usually hardy enough, but will benefit from a sheltered position in any reasonable soil.
