x Sycoparrotia semidecidua ‘Sartori’ AUTUNNO ROSSO

A hybrid of the evergreen Chinese Sycopsis sinensis and the deciduous Parrotia persica, making a medium to large upright shrub with layered branching. In this selected clone from Italy the foliage more resembles a slim leaved Parrotia and emerges pink-purple tinted on new growth and in autumn the leaves turn to orange, scarlet and crimson, especially if grown in sun. Small late winter flowers are red and yellow. Tough and easy in most soils and sites.
