A rare Japanese variegated selection of this hardy edible ginger, with random linear white to greeny-cream markings on the foliage. Shorter growing than the species to approx 70cm. In autumn small, orchid-like, pale-yellow flowers are seen at ground level. For good humusy soil in semi-shade.
