Angelica anomala subsp. sachalinensis

A fully perennial and highly ornamental large species from the Far East with a very different look to Common angelica, being slender stemmed and bearing flat lacecaps of white flower. The most attractive foliage is thrice divided and the tall slim flowering stems reach about 2m tall with strong branching, flowering in late summer/early autumn. The effect is large and powerful, yet distinctly graceful and airy. Fully hardy and suited to any reasonable soil, not too bone dry, in sun or semi-shade.
