Bomarea acutifolia F&M 130

From the Sierra Chiconquiaco, Veracruz, Mexico. A climbing Alstroemeria relative with terminal clusters of narrow, tubular, bright orange flowers with paler, dark spotted interiors on herbaceous twining stems, reaching 2m + high and with very showy scarlet seeds later. Best in humus rich soil in sun/semi-shade, mulched over for winter, though has proven hardy here over many years without.
