Cupressus gigantea KR 3353

A very rare tree in cultivation and although potentially massive in its Himalayan home in the Tsangpo valley of southeastern Tibet, no doubt after hundreds of years or more of growth, this is considerably smaller in cultivation here so far. Although well branched in old wild specimens, it has made shapely columnar trees at Kew to a maximum of 15m high. A tolerant and hardy tree for a well drained sunny position and in this form the foliage is a bright blue-green.

Pot size: 2L
