Hedychium gardnerianum ‘Kachin Queen’
A new form, named and released here at Pan Global Plants. A collection from Himalayan Burma with the spectacular exotically fragrant flowers a paler yellow than usual, with contrasting rich-red anthers and very densely set, emerging from particularly horizontal bracts. Pseudostems to about 1.5m tall, with glossy foliage, evergreen if kept potted under cover for winter, though usually hardy and deciduous outside if mulched deeply. For reliable flowering away from the mildest areas, keep potted and overwinter frost free.
