Hedychium gardnerianum ‘Tangkhul Naga’ NJM 13.079

A new form, named here. A collection from Manipur with the pseudostems and leaf reverse more heavily covered with white farina. The spectacular exotically fragrant flowers are a bright yellow with contrasting rich-red anthers. Pseudostems to about 1.5m tall, with glossy foliage, evergreen if kept potted under cover for winter, though hardy and deciduous outside if mulched deeply. For reliable flowering away from the mildest areas, keep potted and overwinter frost free.
