Hedychium gardnerianum ‘Tangkhul Naga’ NJM 13.079

A new form, named here. A collection from Manipur with the pseudostems and leaf reverse more heavily covered with white farina. The spectacular exotically fragrant flowers are pale cream-yellow (as opposed to deep-yellow) with rich-red anthers. Pseudostems to about 1.5m tall, with glossy evergreen foliage if kept potted under cover for winter, though hardy and deciduous outside if mulched deeply.
