A magnificent large, semi-evergreen shrub to at least 3m tall, absolutely smothered in scented white, comparatively large, cherry-blossom like flowers crowded on the branches in late July, early Aug; an otherwise often fairly dull time in many gardens. A cross between H. sexstylosa and H. glabrata originating in a garden on Anglesey, this has fairly broad foliage and makes a rounded specimen, unlike some other Hoheria. Enjoys sun and a little shelter in cold areas. In my personal experience a fully hardy strong grower on any well drained soil in sun.
