Magnolia ‘Westonbirt Hope’

A truly exceptional plant, notable for its splendid dark flowers, on the red side of rich purple-pink, of good size and form, borne in spring on the bare branches. So far it has made a vigorous, upright specimen to about 18m and is still growing strongly. The original tree grows at Westonbirt arboretum, Gloucestershire as M. sprengeri x campbellii. Best in good deep soil.
